Ashes of Worlds in Bookstores July 1

The grand finale of the "Saga of Seven Suns" hits your bookstores on July 1. With seven large novels and a graphic novel prequel telling a grand and continuous story, I've been working on this epic for the past eight years. I plotted this whole series -- beginning, middle, to end -- in 2000 and I've had all these characters, worlds, and dramatic events in my head, clamoring to get out, ever since. Galactic empires, alien races, exotic worlds, mysterious ruins, strange creatures, menacing robots, complex politics, and breathtaking space battles -- the "Saga" contains everything I love about science fiction.

It's a great feeling of accomplishment to see the series reach its end, but I am also sad to say goodbye to so many beloved (or hated!) characters. And, yes, the story does indeed end, with all the plot threads wrapped up and -- I hope -- a very satisfying conclusion. Each of the new paperback editions of volumes 1-6 has an original essay by me, talking about various aspects of the series.

Thanks for all your support, helping the series readership to build steadily from volume to volume.
